Introduction

Save node tree as a template in DaVinci Resolve fusion page

To reuse a fusion composition already created, it is possible to save that as templates.

How to

Create the template:

  1. Go to fusion page.
  2. Select all the nodes to be included in the template.
  3. Right click on one of the nodes.
  4. Settings >> Save as ...
  5. Select location where to save the template (use custom folders to organize your templates).
  6. Give a meaningful name to the template.
  7. Save.

Open the template:

  1. Go to fusion page.
  2. Click on "Effects".
  3. Go to "Templates" >> Subfolder where the template is located.
  4. Drag and drop the template in the node area.
  5. Open "Clips" area.
  6. Righ click on a clip and "Create a new composition".
