Introduction

Freeze a frame in a video clip DaVinci Resolve

Sometimes videos are too shorts and you need to reduce speed or even freeze clips to give the time to the speaker to comment on what is going on. With DaVinci, it is possible to slow down the speed of a clip until the clip is totally frozen.

How to

Actions:

  1. Add a video clip to the timeline.
  2. Cut a short clip of a few frames.
  3. Move the next clip on the right.
  4. Select the clip to be frozen.
  5. Go to "Inspector" >> "Speed change"
  6. Click on the snowflake icon to freeze the first frame.
  7. Enlarg the size of the clip for the desired duration.
