Introduction

Change clip source folder when files are moved in DaVinci Resolve

When clips are imported into Davinci Resolve Projects, a reference is created within the Davinci Database for the specific project. If the original media file is moved into another location, those references in the project database must be updated.

How to

  1. Open the page "Media".
  2. Right-click on the bin the clip that was moved.
  3. Select "Change Source Folder".
  4. Click on "Browse" and enter the new location path.
  5. Click on "Change" to confirm the change.
