Enable automatic smart bin in DaVinci Resolve

When projects are complex due to the amount of media, it is important to organize them in an efficient way.

DaVinci Resolve provides several solutions to organize media and one of them is smart bins.

How to

Open the menu:

DaVinci Preferences >> User >> Editing >> Automatic smart bins

Then select one of the following options:

  • Smart bins for timelines.
  • Smart bins for keywords.
  • Smart bins for people metadata.
  • Smart bins for shot metadata.
  • Smart bins for scene metadata.
